Four Arizona State players homered Saturday to lead the Sun Devils' fifth-ranked softball team to a 7-4 win over Pacific at the Diamond Devil Invitation.

Four of Arizona State’s seven hits went for home runs, marking
the third time this season ASU (24-2) has tallied four homers in a
single game. Katelyn Boyd and Elizabeth Caporuscio are now tied for the team lead in homers with 10 each.

The Tigers (13-9) got on the board first thanks to a two-run homer from Nikki Armagost in the top of the first. ASU answered in the bottom of the frame when Boyd launched her 10th home run of the season, a solo shot that extended her hitting streak to 15 straight games.

The Sun Devils tied it up at 2-2 in the third, with Boyd scoring from second on a base hit from Annie Lockwood. Caporuscio followed with a long ball of her own that gave ASU a 4-2 lead, one that the Devils wouldn't relinquish.

Amber Freeman and Haley Steele widened the gap in the bottom of the fifth, driving in three more runs to make it 7-2. Freeman rocketed a shot over the center-field wall to make it 5-2, and Steele followed with a homer of her own that plated Talor Haro to complete ASU's scoring.

Pacific did not score again until the sixth, when Taylor Petty came around on a single from Megan Hom. Kelsey Rodriguez's home run in the top of the seventh brought the score to its final at 7-4.

Dallas Escobedo fanned six in seven innings and earned the win to improve to 9-1. Pacific fell to13-9, with Dani Bonnet (5-4) taking the loss.
