To take the focus off the big picture, Arizona State in recent weeks has begun celebrating smaller victories, and it certainly had a few Sunday.

The Sun Devils made it a point to limit the touches of Arizona forward Derrick Williams, the leading candidate to become the Pac-10 player of the year, and it worked. They all but took him out of the game. When Williams fouled out with 83 seconds remaining, he had more fouls than baskets (four) and as many fouls as rebounds. His 11 points represented a season low.

But by plugging one hole, ASU created another, and Kyle Fogg barged right through.

ASU (9-15, 1-11) lost its 10th straight Pac-10 game when Fogg drained 3-pointer after 3-pointer
