ASU debuts new big-pitchfork helmet for game against USC

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State rolled out its latest uniform tweak for Saturday's game against USC, and this one is big. Literally.

On the new maroon helmet, ASU's pitchfork logo, which debuted in 2011, is blown up to cover the entire right side of the helmet. On the opposite side is the player's number in gold.

The helmets are making their debut for ASU's 'Maroon Monsoon' game in which the Sun Devils will also wear maroon jerseys and pants.

ASU may not be able to match Oregon's uniform game yet, but the new helmets are a step in the right direction.
