As the Tide turns: Hold the remote — the wedding will NOT be televised

Bad news, America. We may not get to see AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb tie the knot after all.

Or maybe Miss Alabama USA 2012 was just getting used to the life of a reality TV star and was simply blowing off TMZ.

Last week, Webb denied previous reports that the couple's engagement and wedding will be televised, claiming instead she wants to keep the ceremony "intimate."

But this denial came as the NFL's newest power couple was caught by TMZ cameras while leaving LAX.

It has been a whirlwind last few months for the former first couple of college football, who first gained notoriety when Webb caught the eye of cameras — and announcers — cheering for her Alabama QB boyfriend during the BCS Championship Game in January 2013.

In March, the couple made it official, announcing they were engaged.

Then came the reports of the TV deal less than two weeks later.

McCarron then took center stage in May, drafted by the Bengals in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. It did not take long for the happy couple to look like they were taking to life in Cincinnati.

Webb was more than willing to help her future husband show off his new colors.

While Webb herself isn't sporting any Bengals gear yet, she's got the saying down, as her comment with the photo is: "#Whodey #5".

What's next for the power couple? There's still a summer to go before McCarron actually starts playing football. Until then, looks like we'll have to wait for the next episode of "As The Tide Turns."
