Arizona women can't keep up with Colorado

Junior Candice Warthen scored 12 points, but it wasn't enough for the Arizona women's basketball team (4-14, 0-7) in a 68-47 loss to Colorado (12-6, 2-5) on Friday night in Boulder.
It was Warthen's 11th double-digit scoring game this season. Senior Carissa Crutchfield also had eight points, five assists and four steals for Arizona, and freshman Breanna Workman grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Wildcats.
In the first half, both teams shot 33 percent, but Arizona held a 23-17 rebounding advantage.
"We rebounded the ball better, coming up with 13 offensive rebounds," Arizona coach Niya Butts said. "We outrebounded them for a long time, but it just came down to us turning the ball over too much. We gave the ball right back to them."
The Buffaloes shot 71 percent in the second half and committed only 15 turnovers to the Wildcats' 20.
Junior Jen Reese led Colorado with 22 points and seven rebounds.
