Arizona softball routs UTEP, improves to 15-1

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona's pitching staff held UTEP to one hit for the second consecutive game and the Wildcatsâ lineup belted three home runs in a 14-1 victory over the Miners on Wednesday, giving Arizona (15-1) a sweep of the two-game series.
Kellie Fox hit a three-run homer in the first inning, her seventh homer of the season. In the second, Katiyana Mauga hit a grand slam for the second game in a row; it was her fourth home run of the season. Cynthia Pelayo hit a two-run blast to center field in the third inning.
Kenzie Fowler (2-0) pitched the first three innings and allowed a single run on one hit. She walked four and struck out two in the start. Nancy Bowling pitched the final two innings and did not allow a hit.
