Arizona soccer shut out by Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. -- The Arizona women’s soccer team fell to Oregon 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Pape Field. The Cats split their weekend series in the state after winning at Oregon State on Friday, leaving them at 6-5-3 on the season and 1-3-0 in Pac-12 play.
Arizona’s offense recorded a total of 14 shots, led by junior Alexandra Doller with four. The Wildcats held the Ducks scoreless for 60 minutes, but Oregon freshman Shay Miner found the back of the net off an assist from Reilley Moore for the eventual winning goal.
Oregon outshot Arizona 19-14, with Bri Pugh leading the team with four, including one on goal. With the victory, the Ducks moved to 3-6-3 on the season.
"It was a tough game overall," Arizona coach Tony Amato said. " We know you have to win the key moments in the match from both an attacking and defending standpoint. That was the deciding factor in the match today and made all the difference in the result."
In net, goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman recorded eight saves for the Wildcats, while Abby Steele recorded four saves for the Ducks.
