TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona erupted for its largest offensive outburst since 2009 in defeating Washington 18-10 on Sunday in the final game of a three-game Pac-12 softball series.

The Wildcats (33-10, 8-4 Pac-12) took two of the three games from the Huskies (35-11, 7-7).

In a game that included 28 total runs on 28 hits, Arizona took down Washington 18-10 in six innings to take the series vs. the visiting Huskies on Sunday afternoon at Hillenbrand Stadium.

Arizona had 18 hits and four home runs. The Wildcats have scored 89 runs and hit 21 home runs in their past seven conference games -- six of them victories.

Katiyana Mauga hit a pair of home runs on Sunday to give her a Pac-12 leading 19 on the season. Lauren Young and Kellie Fox also hit home runs in the victory.

Mo Mercardo had four hits in the game, and Fox drove in five.

After Saturday's injury to Trish Parks left Arizona's pitching staff shorthanded, Siera Phillips earned her first career start. She gave up six runs in three innings before Michelle Floyd came on to finish out the game.

The Wildcats scored five runs in the second inning and nine runs in the third to take a 15-2 lead, but Washington battled back with eight runs in the top of the fourth to make things interesting.
