Arizona enters BCS standings at No. 22

Coming off a 39-36 win Saturday over then-No. 10 USC, Arizona entered the BCS standings Sunday for the first time this season. UA is ranked 22nd and is one of five Pac-12 teams listed in the top 25, with Oregon at No. 4, Oregon State at No. 11, Stanford at No. 14 and USC at No. 17.
With Saturday’s win, the Wildcats (5-3, 2-3 Pac-12) defeated their second top-25 opponent of the season (they also then-No. 18 Oklahoma State on Sept. 8), marking the first time since 2008 that UA has defeated two ranked teams in the same season (No. 25 California and No. 17 BYU).
The Wildcats are one victory shy of becoming bowl-eligible. UA did not go to the postseason a year ago after finishing 4-8 but went to three straight bowls from 2008‐10.
Arizona's next game is at No. 25 UCLA on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
