Area athletes remember the fallen with tweets of thanks this Memorial Day

ST. LOUIS -- It's always nice to see professional athletes give back to the community, but it's especially powerful when they use their platform to recognize the men and women who've sacrificed their lives for the freedom we all enjoy.
Over Memorial Day weekend, several local athletes and sports organizations expressed their gratitude via social media:
