ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick left Los Angeles' game against Boston on Thursday in the third inning with a sore right knee.
Kendrick was replaced by pinch-hitter Alberto Callaspo.
The Angels didn't immediately say when Kendrick had been hurt. Kendrick flied out to center in the first inning, which ended his 15-game hitting streak.
Callaspo singled after replacing Kendrick, driving in Albert Pujols to push the Angels' lead over the Red Sox to 4-1. Angels went on to sweep the season series with Boston with a 5-2 win.
