Americans beat Russia for 7th consecutive time at home

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) United States scrumhalf Mike Te'o scored the only try of the match and Ireland-born flyhalf A.J. MacGinty kicked six penalty goals in a 25-0 win over Russia on Saturday, giving the Americans a seventh consecutive home victory over the Russians in rugby internationals.

The try by Te'o, converted by MacGinty, came in the 65th minute. The U.S., coached by former New Zealand head coach John Mitchell, led 15-0 at halftime.

Co-captain and flanker Todd Clever played his record 68th test for the Americans.
