Aggies clinch share of WAC

OREM, Utah -- Pascal Siakam had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and New Mexico State beat Utah Valley 51-38, clinching at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference title on Thursday night.

The Aggies (18-10, 10-1 Western Athletic Conference) pulled away during Utah Valley's second-half scoring drought. Zach Nelson's jumper with 15:25 left pulled Utah Valley within 32-29. The Wolverines (9-16, 3-7) scored three points over the next 11 minutes while the Aggies went ahead 49-32.

Remi Barry added eight points and 11 rebounds and Daniel Mullings added 11 points for New Mexico State.

Nelson had 12 points and Mitch Bruneel grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Utah Valley.

New Mexico State won its eighth in a row to stay 2 games ahead of second-place Grand Canyon in the conference standings. The Aggies visit the Antelopes on Saturday.
