The Minnesota Vikings ultimately found a player at the first NFL combine for veteran players.

Quarterback Mike Kafka has signed with Minnesota, according to Kafka's agent Michael McCartney. McCartney announced the signing via Twitter.

Kafka, 27, took part in the first veteran combine last month. A former fourth-round draft pick in 2010 out of Northwestern, Kafka has played in four games in his NFL career. He was drafted by Philadelphia and attempted 16 passes in 2011, completing 11 for 107 yards and throwing two interceptions in his only action.

Kafka spent part of last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but didn't appear in a game. He could compete for a backup quarterback job with Minnesota, which has Pat Devlin on the roster as the third quarterback.

The Vikings have Teddy Bridgewater entering his second NFL season as their starter and signed veteran Shaun Hill to back up Bridgewater.
