The deadline for underclassmen entering their names in NFL draft concluded with just 10 players from the ACC opting for an early departure. No team lost more than two players, and six programs were affected overall.

Perhaps hit hardest was Virginia Tech, as the Hokies lost tailbacks Darren Evans, which was expected, and Ryan Williams, which was a bit of a surprise. David Wilson will be back in Blacksburg next fall, and there is talent in the underlings, but losing a pair of backs that have surpassed 1,200 yards in a season before along with graduating quarterback Tyrod Taylor could make for a slow offensive transition for the Hokies.
