ACC Closes Strong

The ACC struggled through a season in which it was forced to deflect criticism in September and a bowl season that saw the league win just four of its 9 contests. But, since rankings actually matter in college football, the league can say it closed strong, as four of its members finished in the final national polls.
League champion Virginia Tech was throttled by Andrew Luck and hard-nosed Stanford in the Orange Bowl, but the Hokies are 16th in the final Associated Press poll and 15th in the coaches
