The NFL Network's Albert Breer is reporting that New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez did not travel with the team to London for their game against the St. Louis Rams this weekend. Breer sent out this tweet Friday morning:
Hernandez was limited in practice this week, still struggling with an ankle injury suffered earlier in the season that caused him to miss three games. He did play last week against the Jets, catching five passes for 54 yards. The versatile Hernandez was figured to be a be a huge part of the Pats offense this season but his health struggles have suppressed his productivity to this point. The 22-year old tight end has 17 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns in four games this season.
