A trade of 12 picks for one? Would you take it?

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that the Columbus Blue Jackets were offered the entire New York Islanders draft in exchange for their 2nd pick in last week's NHL Draft, but turned down the offer.
According to The Dispatch's sources, the Islanders had the 4th pick in the draft and wanted to select defenseman Ryan Murray, and offered all of their picks to Columbus. The Jackets declined and took Murray with the 2nd pick.
The Jackets will not comment on the reported offer, but GM Scott Howson said they would have listened to offers for Nail Yakupov (had the Edmonton Oilers passed on him with the first pick)
What's your thoughts on this? Would you have traded the #2 pick for 12 more selections, or do you think the Jackets need quality players rather than quantity?
(Incidentally, I feel they made the right move - they got a winner with Murray)
