Can Archie Manning stop Georgia's domination?

The
Bulldogs are guaranteed they'll hold at least one spot in the SEC
Gridiron LIVE Greatest Player Greatest Player Tournament presented by

as No. 1 seed David Pollack and
third-seeded Champ Bailey -- both former Georgia stars -- meet in the
Bryant Region (defense) final.

But it's Manning, the
Ole Miss legend and sixth seed, that can keep the Bulldogs from earning
two berths as he meets No. 1 seed Herschel Walker in the offense's
Dooley Region's Elite Eight matchup.

A
two-time All-American and All-SEC pick in 1969 and 1970, Manning threw
for 4,753 yards and 31 touchdowns and ran for another 823 yards. He was
fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting as a junior and third during his
senior year.

He boasts an impressive resume, but it
may be tough to deny Walker.

One of only two
three-time Heisman finalists and the trophy's winner as a junior in
1982, Walker still holds the SEC's all-time rushing record with 5,259
yards. That marks remains the NCAA standard over three
years.

Pollack and Bailey's clash will pit two of
Georgia's most-decorated defenders against each
other.

A three-time All-American and All-SEC pick
from 2002-04, Pollack was also a two-time winner of the conference's
defensive player of the year award. He also won the Hendricks Award
twice and claimed the Lombardi, Bednarik and Lott
awards.

Bailey played on offense and special teams,
but it was on defense where he made his biggest mark, earning consensus
All-American honors in 1998 and was a two-time All-SEC first-team
selection. He had 147 tackles and eight interceptions in just three
seasons in a Bulldogs uniform.

Voting for these two
matchups runs through Oct. 22.
