Nov. 11, 2006 in Manhattan, Kan. -- Kansas State 45, No. 4 Texas 42: Colt McCoy led Texas to a touchdown on its opening drive, but suffered a shoulder injury and was replaced by Jevan Snead. K-State coach Ron Prince was in his first season in Manhattan, and the win over Texas was the biggest of his first season in The Little Apple. Snead finished 13-of-30 for 190 yards and a touchdown. "One thing about Texas," coach Mack Brown said, "There's never a good time to lose.
Sept. 26, 2007 in Austin, Texas -- Kansas State 41, No. 7 Texas 21: Texas was undefeated, but faced K-State in its conference opener just like it will in 2013. Ron Prince came down to Austin and gave the Wildcats a second win over a top 10 Longhorns team in two seasons. K-State scored touchdowns on an interception return, a kickoff return and a punt return, and the Wildcats scored the game's final 17 points. "We're not the biggest and strongest team in the country," Prince said. "We had to create some havoc."
Nov. 6, 2010 in Manhattan, Kan. -- Kansas State 39, Texas 14: Texas had lost four of its last five games, with the lone win coming on the road against No. 5 Nebraska. Bill Snyder had to know something before the game. He surprised by setting aside QB Carson Coffman and giving Collin Klein his first career start. Klein answered by rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns. K-State only needed to throw four passes because RB Daniel Thomas added 106 yards and two touchdowns of his own to help K-State race to a 39-0 lead while quarterback Garrett Gilbert struggled through a five-interception night, the lowest point of a difficult 5-7 season for Texas.
Nov. 19, 2011 in Austin, Texas -- No. 13 Kansas State 17, No. 23 Texas 13: Texas was dealing with numerous injuries at running back, and we saw the lowest scoring game between the two teams since 1926. K-State raced to a 17-3 lead Brown benched David Ash after two early interceptions. Texas' defense held Collin Klein to just four yards rushing on 26 carries. Case McCoy rallied late to get the Longhorns within four, but a final incompletion came up short of the end zone. "I really thought we had a chance to win until that last play was over," Brown said.
Dec. 1, 2012 in Manhattan, Kan. -- No. 6 Kansas State 42, No. 18 Texas 24: The Wildcats were playing for a Big 12 title, and Texas was playing without QB David Ash, who missed the game with a rib injury. Texas led 17-14 midway through the third quarter, but K-State ripped off the game's next 28 points to seal their first Big 12 title since 2003. Heisman finalist Collin Klein rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Running back John Hubert added three scores. Backup QB Case McCoy threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. "They just out-executed us," Texas safety Adrian Phillips said. "They did waht they were supposed to do and we did not come out to do our job after halftime."
