529 marathon times invalidated after course runs .28 miles short

529 people completed the inaugural Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Sunday and went home with medals to commemorate their accomplishment.

A few days later, organizers shared some heartbreaking news. All of the marathon times are officially invalid because the course was actually .28 miles short. A turnaround along the route was placed two blocks away from where it was intended to be.
