4 Nations: Australia scores 10 tries, beats Scotland 54-12

HULL, England (AP) Australia ran in 10 tries to thrash Scotland 54-12 in the opening match of the Four Nations rugby league tournament on Friday.
Scrumhalf Cooper Cronk and left winger Josh Mansour both crossed twice for the Kangaroos, the tournament favorites, in front of 5,337 spectators in Hull, northern England.
Stand-off James Maloney was one of the other Australian try-scorers and he also kicked seven goals for an 18-point haul on his international debut.
Australia coach Mal Meninga was able to rest Johnathan Thurston, Greg Inglis and Darius Boyd and bring off captain Cameron Smith at halftime, when the Kangaroos led 30-6.
Scotland was making its debut in the Four Nations and kept the scoreline respectable with tries from Ryan Brierley and Ben Kavanagh.
Tournament host England plays defending champion New Zealand on Saturday.
