NEW DELHI (AP) Kane Williamson scored his eighth ODI century as New Zealand finished on 242-9 against India on Thursday.

Williamson hit 118 runs off 128 balls, with 14 fours and a six, in the second one-day international.

Put into bat, the Black Caps got off to a bad start again with Martin Guptill bowled for a duck by Umesh Yadav in the very first over. Williamson then put on 120 runs for the second wicket with Tom Latham (46).

Latham was out lbw to Kedar Jadhav but Williamson survived when on 47 after Hardik Pandya wasted a chance off Jasprit Bumrah (3-35) in the 14th over.

Williamson then put on 38 runs with Ross Taylor (21), who was caught off Amit Mishra (3-60) in a bid to accelerate the scoring.

Corey Anderson (21) added 46 runs with Williamson, who scored the visitors' first hundred of the tour off 109 balls, and helped the tourists pass the 200-mark in the 40th over. The left-hander Anderson was trapped lbw by Mishra, and the slide began.

Williamson was caught in the deep off Mishra, and the Black Caps collapsed in the face of Bumrah's accurate death bowling, beginning with Anton Devcich (7), who was caught brilliantly at square leg by Axar Patel.

Left-arm spinner Patel claimed Luke Ronchi (6), whose skier was caught by MS Dhoni.

Bumrah then dismissed Tim Southee and Matt Henry cheaply, as New Zealand lost six wickets for 33 runs in 52 balls.

Trent Boult (5) and Mitchell Santner (9) were the unbeaten batsmen.
