From Columbus comes this inspirational story of a 12-year-old Ohio State fan - the son of two alumni of the OSU Marching Band - who was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

As reported by Channel 4 in Columbus, when Grant Reed was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago, he nicknamed the tumor "Michigan".

After a round of chemotherapy, it appears that Grant has channeled Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer by beating Michigan, although, as his father says, "Like any rival, there's a chance it can come back".

Here's hoping that's not the case. Video after the jump.
