What is it with bobsledders and Olympic Village misadventures?

The alpine races and ski jumping are thrill-a-minute events in the Olympics.
The latest bobsledder to light up Twitter with tales of a close call is British brakewoman Rebekah Wilson, who came oh-so-close to taking the dorm elevator straight to a lengthy hospital stay.
After leaving her room in the Olympic Village on Saturday morning, Wilson hit the down button for the elevator. When the doors opened, she was greeted with an empty elevator shaft.
One absent-minded step, and Wilson would have left driver Paula Walker at a decided disadvantage in pursuit of a medal.
Wowzers! @paulawalkerGB nearly didn't have her brakewomen after walking out into this! pic.twitter.com/7AzRxRsioX
