Watch: Tyson Gay speaks out against gun violence after his daughter fatally shot
Tyson Gay, the three-time U.S. Olympics sprinter, spoke out against violence at a candlelight vigil at Lafayette High School remembering his 15-year-old daughter Trinity, who was fatally shot on Sunday.
“I don't want to read in the paper next week about another senseless killing,” Gay said. “It has to stop.”
Trinity Gay was killed in a Lexington, Kentucky parking lost after two cars exchanged gunfire. Three men were arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. All three plead not guilty. Two of the men admitted to firing shots.

Friends, family and teammates hung track and field spikes along the fence where the vigil was being held. Trinity was also an accomplished sprinter at the high school level.
Purple and pink balloons, Trinity's favorite colors, were released into the night sky.
