Usain Bolt says he is steroid-free

Usain Bolt may double as Insane Bolt in a recent Comcast TV ad, but he says that he’s not insane enough to engage in the use of performance-enhancing drugs — no matter what is going on with his Jamaican teammates.

Back in May, Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown tested positive for a banned substance. She was the 12th Jamaican athlete to test positive for PEDs in the last five years. That, likewise, has brought additional scrutiny upon Bolt, who addressed the issue after arriving in Paris on Wednesday for the Diamond League meeting.

“I am clean, I’m sure about that,” Bolt said, according to The Daily Mail. “I welcome people to test me every day if necessary to prove it to the world. I have no problem.

“The only thing I’m not happy about is when the testers knock on my door at 6 a.m.”

Bolt is set to run the 200 meters this weekend in a sold-out Stade de France.
