Tyson Gay's 15-year-old daughter, Trinity, fatally shot in Kentucky


Trinity Gay, the daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay, died Sunday after a shooting at a Kentucky restaurant. She was 15.
Police in Lexington, Ky., responded to a report of shots fired at a restaurant around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to WKYT. Gay was shot in the neck and was pronounced dead at 4:41 a.m.
Two cars exchanged gunfire, witnesses said, and police detained two suspects but are still looking for the second car. Gay was not a passenger in either car, police said.
Gay was on the track team at Lafayette High School in Lexington, the same school her father attended.
Several of Tyson Gay’s teammates offered their condolences on social media.

Tyson Gay, 34, competed in his third Olympics this summer in Rio.
