The sky is falling: Skier Hirscher nearly hit by crashing drone during slalom

The sky was falling on the slopes in Italy, as Austrian alpine skier Marcel Hirscher was very close to being hit by a drone carrying a TV camera while making his second slalom run at an evening World Cup event. 

The four-time defending overall champion Hirscher apparenty did not notice how close he was to being hit and finished his run in second behind Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway.

He also was able to joke about the near-miss on an Instagram post captioned, "Heavy air traffic in Italy -- #crazy #drone #crash #luckyme."

Let's just say he's lucky he's so fast for more than just podium reasons. Though Hirscher did end up reclaiming the overall World Cup lead from Aksel Lund Svindal with his finish. Here it is again, because it's just that crazy:
