Slovenia's Kosir wins 2nd straight World Cup snowboard event

ASAHIKAWA, Japan (AP) Zan Kosir of Slovenia won his second straight World Cup parallel slalom snowboard event on Sunday to maintain first place in the overall standings.

Kosir, who also won Saturday's giant slalom, beat Justin Reiter of the United States by 7.60 seconds. Mirko Felicetti of Italy was third after beating Slovenia's Rok Flander in the small final.

Kosir now has 5,800 points on the overall parallel World Cup standings, 2,811 ahead of Roland Fischnaller of Italy.

Julie Zogg of Switzerland beat Sabine Schoeffmann of Austria by 0.12 seconds to win the women's event. Julia Dujmovits of Austria finished third after beating Ester Ledecka of the Czech Republic in the small final.

The next round of the World Cup circuit is in Moscow on March 7.
