Russian general manager Vladislav Tretiak says Sergei Zinovyev will play in the hockey quarterfinals.

The forward practiced Tuesday, two days after injuring his left leg.

Russia will play Canada on Wednesday, and Tretiak says goaltender Evgeni Nabokov will start.

Zinovyev didn't play in the third period of Sunday's win over the Czech Republic.

He was hurt when Olympic and club teammate Alexander Radulov boarded an opponent, bending his left leg. That same leg needed surgery after the 2008 world championships.

Zinovyev has two points in three games at the Vancouver Olympics.
