The Canadian Olympic Committee is bringing out the red mittens again to help athletes.

Three dollars from each pair of $10 mittens sold by the Hudson's Bay Company will go toward supporting Canadian Olympians preparing for the 2012 Games in London.

The red mittens program raised more than $14 million during its 2009 launch by the Vancouver 2010 organizing committee. Last year, $4.9 million went to the Canadian Olympic Foundation.

''Our red mittens campaign provides the Canadian Olympic Foundation with a great way to help support our athletes on their Olympic journey,'' said Chris Overholt, CEO and secretary general of the Canadian Olympic Committee. ''We have new mittens for a new year, but the goal is still the same: Supporting Canada's Olympic athletes.''
