Police have arrested a 29-year-old man as part of an investigation into allegations that Tottenham ordered surveillance on Olympic board members during the Premier League club's failed bid to take over London's Olympic Stadium.
Metropolitan Police say they arrested the man in Sussex, southern England, ''on suspicion of fraud offenses'' following allegations by the Olympic Park Legacy Company and rival club West Ham about ''the unlawful obtaining of information.''
OPLC chair Margaret Ford told the London Assembly's economy, sport and culture committee that ''all 14 members of my board were under surveillance.''
The post-games future of the $781 million stadium is unclear after the collapse of West Ham's planned move.
