Liu Xiang's representative says the Chinese hurdler should fully recover after undergoing successful surgery on his right Achilles tendon.
Jos Hermens tells The Associated Press that it was still unclear how long the 2004 Olympic 110-meter hurdles champion would have to spend in rehab before coming back to competition.
He says that Liu has ''all chances for a return to his top level.''
Liu was injured Tuesday during the heats at the London Olympics.
