KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) The start of the men's 15-kilometer mass start biathlon event at the Sochi Olympics has been delayed again due to fog.

The event was set to start at 2:30 p.m. (5:30 a.m. EST, 1030 GMT) Tuesday but organizers said it would not go ahead before 2:45 p.m.

Fog was hanging over parts of the course during the morning but the shooting range was not affected until clouds moved in during the half hour before the scheduled start.

The race had been called off on Sunday and again on Monday because of thick fog, making it the first Olympic biathlon event to be postponed for two days.
