A judge has lowered bail to $1 million for an Oxnard widow charged with first-degree murder in the death of her husband, Olympic shot-put medalist Dave Laut.

Jane Laut's attorney, Ron Bamieh, argued during a hearing Thursday in Ventura Superior Court that his client was not a flight risk and that her $3 million bail should be reduced.

Last week Laut pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and a related allegation of using a firearm in a crime.

During Thursday's hearing, a prosecutor revealed that Dave Laut was shot four times in the head.
