Italy, Britain agree on training exchanges for summer, winter sports

The Italian and British Olympic committees have agreed to a training exchange program for athletes and coaches.

CONI president Giovanni Malago and British Olympic Association chairman Sebastian Coe signed the deal Thursday in Bangkok at an Association of National Olympic Committees assembly.

The British association will provide CONI assistance with training for Summer Olympics sports such as athletics, track cycling, golf, fencing, shooting, triathlon and sailing.

CONI will assist the BOA in winter sports such as bobsled, curling, freestyle skiing, speedskating, short track skating, snowboarding and skeleton.
