Herve Madore has resigned as deputy director of Annecy's bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics, less than three months before the IOC vote.
Annecy is considered the outsider in the race against Pyeongchang, South Korea, and Munich.
Annecy 2018 press officer Margo Sella says Madore ''has resigned, I can confirm this.'' She gave no reason for his departure.
Edgar Grospiron resigned as Annecy bid chief in December over budget issues, and businessman Charles Beigbeder stepped in to lead the campaign.

The three bid cities will make presentations to the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland next month. The IOC will then vote for the host city on July 6 in Durban, South Africa.
