Brooks wins discus and trip to London

Lance Brooks won the discus in the U.S. track trials with a personal best of 213 feet, 9 inches for a spot on the Olympic team.

Jarred Rome made his third Olympics as runner-up with a throw of 207-10 on Thursday night.

Jason Young earned the final place on the team for the London Games at 203-11.

Brooks hit surpassed the Olympic ''A'' standard of 213-3 on his final attempt.
