The British Olympic Association has reached a deal for its teams to prepare for the 2016 Rio Olympics in the southeastern city of Belo Horizonte.

BOA says Britain will ''train, prepare and acclimatize'' in the city that is ''ideally located in the center of Brazil and only a one-hour flight from Rio.''

BOA chairman Sebastian Coe, who signed the memorandum of understanding with the city on Wednesday, says Belo Horizonte will provide the ''best possible environment for our athletes.''

Belo Horizonte Mayor Marcio Lacerda says the city ''will ensure that every member of Team GB are welcomed with open arms and provided with the best facilities and support to help them prepare.''
