EDITORS:

The two primary Olympic preview packages for the London Games will move during the weeks of June 18 and June 25, with stories available for use any time. Each package will include at least a half-dozen pieces, covering multiple topics.

Among the offerings:

- previews of the major sports, including track and field, swimming, basketball and gymnastics;

- a centerpiece on London's role as host of the games;

- a story examining security preparations for the Olympics;

- the top 100 athletes to watch;

- explainers on how various sports are scored;

- medal picks.

Detailed advisories will move closer to the run dates for the packages.
