An Australian boxer who wore a T-shirt emblazoned with an Aboriginal flag at the arena has been warned by team officials for violating a policy barring athletes from making political statements.
Damien Hooper won his opening light heavyweight bout Monday against Marcus Browne of the United States.
Hooper says he's Aboriginal and was representing his culture and people. He says: ''I'm not saying that I don't care, I'm just saying I'm very proud of what I did.''
A spokesman for the Australian Olympic Committee spokesman says the committee has informed Olympic organizers. He says Hooper could face disciplinary action.

The spokesman says Hooper has promised to wear only his Australian uniform and will apologize to the head of the Australian team.
