Watch a Nurburgring crash compilation from the 1970s

As the year comes to an end, you can be sure there are, and have been, many Nurburgring crash compilation videos being uploaded to YouTube.

With the overwhelming amount of wannabe Mario Andrettis taking to the “Green Hell,” there are plenty of spills and thrills that can quite often fly under the radar.

This eight-minute crash compilation, uploaded by johannes914, features multiple drivers getting it wrong at one of the Nordschleife’s trickier turns: Adenauer Forest.

Though the video is five years old, it is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen it already, as it features various crashes (and incredible saves) from the German circuit that were shot back in the 1970s.

So if a certain significant other is driving you mad about wanting to take your family car on a lap around the Nurburgring, just be grateful that you live in the 21st century, and that your car is probably safer than these…
