Stars of Formula One and IndyCar take on ice bucket challenge

Formula One and IndyCar are both back in action at Spa-Francorchamps and Sonoma Raceway respectively this weekend, and it's time for the drivers to strap themselves in ... but not before tipping an ice cold bucket of water over their heads.
The ice bucket challenge is an event in which a participant dumps an ice cold bucket of water over his head before passing the challenge on to someone else. It has become viral over social media and is helping raise money for the ALS Association.
The amount of money donated to the ALS Association due to the viral craze recently broke $40M USD.
On Tuesday when Jorge Lorenzo brought the ice bucket challenge to MotoGP, the number was at $15M USD.
Here is how it found its way into the world's fastest open-wheel motorsports:
With the IndyCar Chip Ganassi Racing drivers:
With IndyCar driver Ryan Briscoe and his sister Nicole:
With IndyCar star James Hinchcliffe ...
... who challenged Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo.
But not before Williams F1 driver Felipe Massa did it first!
The ice bucket soon spread to 2008 Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton...
... and 2005-2006 World Champion Fernando Alonso.
