Show me the money: Lamborghini Aventador steals the show in Sin City

In Las Vegas, all things bold and bawdy are admired, and high-performance cars are no exception.

The first truly high-dollar car to change hands at the Seventh Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector-Car Auction was Lot 454, an impossibly sexy 2013 Lamborghini Aventador that sold for $440,000 with buyer's fee Friday at the auction in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

This might be the most Las Vegas car ever, perfect for cruising The Strip on a wild night.

Philistines would describe this car as "orange over black," but the correct description of the colors is "Arancio Atlas pearl over special order Nero Ade black leather/Alcantara interior." And, yes, the MSRP was a wallet-melting $435,000. Which means the sale price was just about spot on.
