Coverage of Barrett-Jackson’s flagship Scottsdale Auction will air live for the first time on the FOX broadcast network in January, the company, which produces The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, announced Friday during its Las Vegas Auction.

This coverage is in addition to existing coverage on other platforms within the FOX family of networks, giving Barrett-Jackson the largest audience in collector-car auction history.

FOX will broadcast two hours of live event coverage on Jan.18, from 3 to 5 p.m. ET. More than 40 hours of additional coverage from Scottsdale will be shown on other FOX networks. The detailed programming schedule will be announced in coming months.

“We are thrilled to broaden our relationship with the FOX family of networks to carry our car collecting tradition into the homes of more than 100 million households beginning with our 2014 Scottsdale Auction,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “This is a great opportunity for our existing fan base and new car enthusiasts to follow the exciting collector car industry.”

Expanded Barrett-Jackson coverage will allow more viewers to see the variety of classics, exotics, muscle cars, hot rods, resto-mods and contemporary collectibles on the market today. This new, national platform will provide additional viewing opportunities to the new generation of automotive fans.

“With the boom of the collector car industry and the success of Barrett-Jackson, we wanted to offer all FOX viewers the opportunity to see this iconic event throughout the country,” said Patrick Crakes, FOX Sports Senior Vice President of Programming & Research. “It is the perfect time to bring collector car culture to a more extensive national audience.”

“Since our current coverage in Las Vegas has been such a hit, we’re happy to share more of the auction action with a larger audience,” Crakes added. “Our outstanding relationship with the Barrett-Jackson staff and the exciting lineup of collector cars for the 2014 Scottsdale event is sure to make national coverage a success.”

Barrett-Jackson was established in 1971 and is headquartered in Scottsdale.
