Journalist Mathew Birt from British publication MCN has reported that Jorge Lorenzo had apparently approached Casey Stoner’s ex-Crew Chief Cristian Gabbarini about being part of his team for the 2015 season.
This was at a time when there rumors about long-standing crew chief Ramon Forcada leaving Lorenzo’s side in Yamaha. In the end, it was Forcada who signed a contract for a further two years, whilst Gabbarini was given the task of being Jack Miller’s technical guru for his big step up to MotoGP.
