FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The IndyCar Series race at Texas is finally underway after being postponed and then delayed more.

Cars took the green flag about 40 minutes later than scheduled Sunday, after the race had been postponed Saturday night.

IndyCar and track officials had to work to dry some damp areas on the track.

One of the problem areas was on the apron on Turn 2, where cars exit pit road get back onto the 1 1/2-mile racing surface. There had also some damp spots on the backstretch, with water seeping through some areas.
