Marc Marquez is quickly becoming the Muhammad Ali of motorcycling as he reinforces his status as the undisputed heavyweight champion of MotoGP.

The Marquez magic delivered an amazing 10th consecutive win of the season with in today's Indianapolis Grand Prix.

Who now can beat Marquez and stop him winning all 18 races this season?

His current rivals have, for the moment, no answers.

The Brickyard victory makes him the first rider in 44 years - since Giacomo Agostini in 1970 - to win the opening 10 races of the season.

Marquez comprehensively dismantled his star Yamaha rivals Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi to win by 1.8 seconds. Lorenzo was second with Rossi third and more than six seconds behind.

Marquez crushed his Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa (fourth) by 10 seconds.  The first Ducati to finish was Andrea Dovizioso in seventh and 20 seconds behind.

Marquez made his winning move mid-race with double overtake carving up the Yamaha pair in the same corner with a breathtaking move.

Marquez's Indy win, at the age of 21 years 174 days, makes him the youngest rider to win 10 successive premier class races.

The previous record was held by Mike Hailwood who was 24 years 94 days old when in 1964 he won the 10th race of a 12 race winning sequence.

Marquez is now within reach of the 12 victories that five-time world champion Mick Doohan scored in 1997.

Marquez is already a massive hero in Spain and is closing in on the all-time GP win records of his countryman.

Only Lorenzo and Pedrosa are ahead of him.

Lorenzo has 31 premier class wins, Pedrosa 25, Marquez 16, Alex Criville 15, Sete gibernau 9, Carlos Checa 2, Toni Elias 1.

Marquez is on target to secure his second consecutive MotoGP world championship at the Aragon GPO in September.

He now had 250 points, 89 ahead of Pedrosa on 161 with Rossi on 157 and Lorenzo 117.
