Jon Olsson's 950-horsepower Audi burned after armed robbery

A heavily modified 950-horsepower Audi RS6 Avant was burned to the ground on Thursday morning in an abandoned parking lot following an armed robbery.
The car, formerly owned by freestyle Swedish skier Jon Olsson, was being used for a photo shoot in the Piet Hein tunnel in the Netherlands on Wednesday evening, reports Car Throttle, when two armed robbers approached Douwe Leitner - the current owner of the car - and stole it.
However, the robbers drove the car off without the keys, which were still in Leitner’s pocket, meaning that the Audi wouldn’t have been able to restart after being switched off.
It is believed that the fire was started to destroy any evidence of the theft. An investigation is ongoing.
We look forward to seeing what Olsson’s next project car will be.
